Harima statue is a large bronze statue located in Himeji, Japan. It was built in 1934 to commemorate the life and work of Ogasawara Harima, a famous Japanese sculptor. The statue stands at 23 meters (75 feet) tall and weighs around 270 tons. It depicts a seated Buddha with its eyes closed and holding a seven-ringed vajra in its hands. The statue is located on the grounds of the Harima-no-shirne, a popular tourist destination that receives thousands of visitors each year. The statue was also named as one of Japan's top 100 historical sites by the government in 2007.
